How Service Pros DFW works

Search reported coverage, understand the status of each listing, and contact providers directly with a consistent project scope.

For DFW residents and property owners

  1. Choose a category. Start with the service need, read the category-specific planning guide, and note what should appear in a quote.
  2. Choose an area. Area results use researched or provider-confirmed coverage. They do not claim that every company has an office in that city.
  3. Read the status. Research, claimed, verified, and sponsored are different states. The profile explains the state it currently holds.
  4. Build a shortlist. Review the public scope and source date, then contact providers to confirm the exact address, job type, timing, and qualifications.
  5. Compare the same request. Give each provider the same facts and compare complete written proposals rather than headline totals.

What “reported coverage” means

Coverage is based on public source material or a provider-confirmed update. Routes can change, and some companies handle only certain trades or project sizes in a city. Always provide the exact address and job type before relying on a directory match.

What verification does—and does not—mean

A verification label identifies the review level displayed on that profile. It is a point-in-time directory status. It is not a guarantee of workmanship, safety, licensing, insurance, price, availability, or future performance. Check authoritative sources and the provider directly for the decision you are making.

How results and paid placement are separated

Sponsored placement is labeled. Payment does not change an unverified record into a verified record, and organic inclusion is not a “best company” award. Read our research methodology for the source and selection rules.

For service businesses

An authorized representative can submit a business or claim an existing profile. Claiming enables an approved relationship and proposed updates; it does not automatically verify credentials. Public changes remain subject to administrator review.
